There's one question that I get asked a lot.
A lot meaning all the time.
"How do you have time to do it all?"
I have a full-time job, make crafts, bake, and run an etsy shop! It's a lot of (FUN!) work... but I've learned how to juggle it all.
Here's a peek into what one of my
Planning.
Planning is a must! From the time I walk in the door, I have an itemized list of what I need to accomplish that evening. I very schematically time everything I do so that it all works together for my advantage.
My order list grows daily, so it's crucial that I don't stop moving.
Last night, I had the privilege of baking lots and lots of yummy treats for a barbeque party that our friends John and Karyn are having this evening. Upon ordering them, Karyn told me a number to feed... and how much she'd like, but entrusted me to pick out the flavors! I've learned to love it when I get to make the creative decisions!

When I first got home (at 4:30pm btw), I mixed up EVERYTHING that needed to be baked. First up, Andes Mint cookies! I knew that the yummy candy on top would take a while to set up (much longer than icing!)...so these were first.
Luckily, I had another order for these that will be delivered today...so there weren't too many left for me to have to resist!

Then I started baking the cupcakes! I made two different kinds... mostly because variety is always better. haha.
My first batch were these delicious Butterfinger Sundae cupcakes! It's a yummy chocolate fudge cake with some bits of crushed Butterfinger baked inside. Vanilla buttercream is swirled on top, followed by hot fudge, toasted peanuts, more Butterfinger pieces, and (of course!) a cherry!
These are every bit as awesome as they look.

To break up the massive amounts of chocolate (which there is NOTHING wrong with btw!), the second recipe I chose was Strawberry Lemonade cupcakes.
The cupcakes have real strawberries mixed into the cake... so it's a delicious natural taste. It is so good I could eat it without icing... but when it all comes together, it's a fantastic party.
They are topped off with a lemonade buttercream. Yes, you heard it. It's a crazy thing to put lemonade into your icing... but the result is fantastic!
I had so much fun decorating them with gummy lemon candies, yellow sanding sugar, and a straw!

While I was icing all those cupcakes, I baked a cake.
Well, my oven did. But I put it in there!
This is a separate order that will go out today... but that planning thing came into play here. I knew that I'd have about 35 mins to wait on this one to be done... which was plenty of time to ice all those cupcakes!
I decorated this one last... but you get to see it now :)

In between the very last item that I needed to bake (next picture!), I made chocolate covered pretzel rods.
I chose this color theme to play on the "backyard barbeque" party that they would be served at.
These are so much fun to make! I love creating all the different "designs". And they look so pretty on a table!
Plus, they are scrumptious!

The last item up to bake were cookies... S'more cookies!
What's not to love about a s'more? And in cookie form!?
There's really nothing better.
The base of the cookie has graham cracker crumbs and brown sugar... which perfectly resembles the taste of a graham cracker. Then, I mix in chocolate chips and marshmallows.
These are the kind of cookie you want to eat right off the cookie sheet!

Once I was done making a mess in the kitchen (I had to set up a folding table for more counter space!), it was time to package it all up!
And after making 4-1/2 dozen cupcakes, 5 dozen cookies, a cake, and 50 pretzel rods... I painted on some of my canvas orders.
I may not sleep very much... and I constantly go out in public with paint somewhere on me (on accident of course!)... but I love every single minute of it!
God has blessed me with the ability to create, and I intend on using it :)
Thank you for believing in me!
